The ban on smoking imposed by governments in different countries has been a topic of discussion for people around the world. There are many arguments in favour of the ban along with some not in favour of it. We shall go through some very out of the ordinary facts about the ban on smoking. Some reports indicate that there has been an increase in drunken driving deaths. Nobody will wish to die as a result of inhalation of second hand smoke. A study conducted at Wisconsin University made a comparative study regarding the number of such kinds of fatalities in areas where smoking had been banned to such fatalities in areas where smoking ban was not in place.

The results sprang up some surprise; it says that smokers are willing to drive to any extent just to find a place where they can satisfy their tendencies and where they can light up a cigarette. In days prior to the ban taking effect, a smoker had the freedom to walk to the local tavern and smoke there. That is not the case now; he has to hit the road and drive to some nearby county or state that allows the public to smoke without any restraint.
